Well, the hero intros that I thought would take a few weeks ended up taking months, but we’ve finally got them in there, along with a whole bunch of new monsters 🙂
You can see the monsters there, and check out some examples of our randomly-generated intros here:
Our buddy Old Shrimpeyes really came though with the goods for the voiceover, with about 250 new lines recorded so hopefully they don’t get boring too quick!
Have fun with it guys, and as always don’t hesitate to comment here or in the Steam forums and let us know if you’ve got ideas on tweaks and improvements, or if you find and sneaky bugs that slipped through Dave’s withered fingers!
I’ve been getting a real hankering to draw some stuff higher resolution than Crawl’s style, and also wanting to start playing around with sketching in a stylized limited colour palette… So after work I doodled this guy 🙂
Fifty percent me just wanting to draw a cool animal skull, and fifty percent nostalgia for Wonder Boy 3!
We’ve been slugging away at our crazy submerged statue boss for a while now, so to stop everyone getting too bored waiting, we put together a new update 🙂
Go into The Vault and select any monster you’ve discovered, to practice your technique in a single-player Challenge Mode 🙂 We’ve also got new traps, new artifacts, and I’ve done a whole load of monster and weapon balancing. Oh yeah, and we’ve got some AI helper ghosts to get the bosses working properly in 2p and 3p games- hope you like it!!
