I’ve posted some of these here and there, but here is the big collection of the monsters I’ve animated so far… so many down, sooooo many still to do!

These are the original colors I drew them in; they’ll all get a palette tweak as they get implemented ingame.

UPGRADE MENU

So much menu, so many players, so few pixels

I’m simultaneously designing the upgrade system and doodling possible GUI elements to support the system… I find it helps to think things out by drawing how they would work in the menus… forces me to consider lots of mechanical details and edge-cases i otherwise would have missed… these are by no means final, just work-in-progress doodles as I try to figure out what the important information is, what the necessary actions are, and how to fit it all on screen for four people at once…

Adventure Game Concept

Get A Load Of This Super High Resolution Art!

Doing some concept work for another game we’re working on… still unannounced… very mysterious… LARPing may or may not be involved…  Literally hundreds of pixels per character- what a future we live in!

*edit was a bit more washed out than intended so I brightened a tad… Colors on Cintiq, laptop and PC are all completely different- who do I trust?

I know the Cintiq is miles off true, I hear the laptop is more “accurate” than my LCD, but if LCD is inaccurate in a similar way to most peoples monitors then doen’ts that essentially make it a more accurate benchmark?

Key Poses

Initial doodle where I rough out the key poses- mostly just the anticipation and the end-position poses for each attack. The main thing for flowing combos is having the “end position” of each attack work as a good “anticipation position” to telegraph the next attack.
