If this was about mail, that heading would be quite the pun!
So we went to GDC! Dave took a modern smart phone with a camera and photographed things! The carrier-pigeon-era camera attachment on my old Nokia proved less useful…

Instantly upon arriving we were hit with good fortune- a previous adventurer had missed a not insignificant loot drop, and being still without weapons I went in to collect the large bow. On closer inspection it proved to require a slightly higher strength rating than I had at that time, and upon realizing my inventory slots were taken up with socks and Xbox controllers, we decided to leave it there until we could level up sufficiently to wield the thing.

We did come upon a group of low level monsters, but they seemed more interested with laying motionless and intermittently wailing like damaged clown-horns than actually fighting us.

As per usual, Dave turned to Zoltar for advice.

In Australia it is not entirely traditional to take dietary advice from walls, but this one seemed insistent and well informed on the topic of whether or not we should eat crab, so we gave in.

We also got some pretty good clam chowder, which for some reason caused me to look weirdly angry as I loomed over it… perhaps struggling against the urge to repeatedly and loudly say the word chowder in a French accent…

We came upon this building which proclaimed to contain a machine which dispensed Automatic Teller Machines! Upon entering the building we were disappointed to discover it gone, with only a regular ATM in it’s place. When we enquired as to when it would return, the shop owners became hostile… we thought it best to move on.

Look, here is some proof we actually got into GDC!
Sadly, the only time you are compelled to take photos is when you’re looking at something so boring you need to play with your camera to entertain yourself… we promise there was interesting stuff, it was just a little too interesting to stop playing with it and fiddle around with the camera!
From then on it was a blur…

Dave ate a twix,

I was happy about a tshirt,

Dave looked noncommittal about a drink,

We saw the IGF awards,

We got drunk, met loads of great people and came home!
THE END.
It’s like I was there. 🙂
Keep up the good work eh!
cheers 🙂 the main thing is we survived to look noncommittal about other drinks in the future… perhaps a small Sprite?
EAT CRAB.
hmm that sounds suspiciously like wall talk to me- who let you in here?!
DON’T EAT CRAB.
haha if only I had a nearby wall to corroborate that dietary advice…
Zoltar didn’t predict something Like “Make sure you film in all the papers in time” 😉
I meant fill not film, sorry autocorrect
DAMN YOU ZOLTAR!!! LET US DOWN AGAIN!! WAS OUR 25 CENTS WORTH NOTHING TO YOU???!
