Hey self, the “slug” refers to the top guy. Jas on the Stumpt play throughs christened that monster a slug. Okay I’m done for now (replying to self – I can’t wait for this game to come out!!! I even went and bought Xbox 360 controllers for my PC! 🙂 ).

Jas you too OP with the slug! I wonder what would happen if powerhoof added a bigger version of the slug but it does the same thing as a normal one…RIP Ash / Rik / Price… btw i’m a subscriber, awesome vids! 😉
big slug has more health and travels longer under ground with bigger spikes popping out…

The slug walking animations look different to me… but is it really? Just looks more animated compared to before.
i think its pretty accurate… what may confuse you is the animation speed… i think it’s faster in the game…
yep, these animations are straight from photoshop- i always end up tweaking the timing once i have them moving in game, to match the speed across the floor a bit better- so it’s the same frames, but probably the timing is a little different 🙂
That’s exactly what I do too. Glad to know other artists are working the same way.
Do not nerf the slug it may be super op but do not nerf it xD i have seen the power that jas from stumpt has done with the slug and it is the probably the most powerfull monster in the game!!!!!!!!! LOL 😀

haha mostly i’ve been trying to stick with a philosophy if a guy is fun, i should elevate other guys to his level instead of taking him down if it will reduce the fun!
all the monsters have been tweaked- i think the evolved slug ended up with a little less health than original, but hopefully he still feels right to people who were loving the OP version!

do you ever have dreams where everything is made of pixels? I worked on some pixel art the other day for a good 4 hours strait, went to bed, then BAM, everything is pixelated
haha, i mostly have crappy work dreams these days- dreaming that i’m working on some really difficult issue and finding it really frustrating and not making any progress… then i have to wake up and deal with all the real world issues 🙂
I’ve been wondering, is there anything that can carry over to the next game?
Even little vanity stuff, like a pet or clothes or something like that, or is it like Mario Party,
where you win, but there’s no end prize other than winning.
(Other than brutally crushing your friends.) 😛
we have some values that we can record for each profile based on what you do in each game, if you kill the boss or get killed by him etc- the plan is to have that build upon your profile (in secret ways i don’t want to give away yet) but we haven’t implemented that yet 🙂
