Powerhoof! Plague Mushroom Update is LIVE!...


Woo it’s finally here!

We’ve been working like crazy on this update- I can’t wait to see what you guys think of all the new stuff!

Here’s the basics:

  • A new boss
  • 5 new monsters
  • 4 new gods
  • 20+ new interactive props
  • big balance fixes for demon lord, scorpion and witch
  • minor balance fixes all over the place πŸ™‚
  • kill tally system
  • improved colour palette
  • another 1,000,000 balance tweaks and little fixes πŸ™‚

As always, let us know what you think! We’ll be keeping our eyes to the forums and our ears peeled, so please let us know if you find any bugs or issues- your testing is super valuable!

    • it’s random each time you go through the portal- i’d like to have some visual feedback to show the random choice is happening but we didn’t get a chance for that this time- he should turn up pretty quick tho πŸ™‚

  9. Had a pretty bad bug today in one of my games. Was playing 3 player (2 on keyboard, one on mouse because we couldn’t get our PS4 controllers to work) when suddenly our characters (whomever was human) couldn’t pass through open doors. I have video proof of this as well if you’d like to see it. Other than that, we really love the work you guys are putting into this game and we thank you a ton!

  10. GUYS! I CAN’T BELIEVE THERE’S ANOTHER UPDATE! AND I DON’T KNOW WHY IT’S ALL IN CAPS! Have you guys ever thought of adding more weapons such as a double blade staff? (just a suggestion)

    I LOVE THIS UPDATE. (still haven’t killed the hydra yet)

    also i thought of an idea, which I rarely do.
    what if you could find like a miniature portal that takes you to like a little mini arena where you have different kinds of fights like an all monster fight where everyone is a ghost and must fight each other with all or some of their monsters, or an all human fight where you all battle to the death as people. Maybe even one where everyone plays as their chosen Deity that they picked at the beginning of the game to fight, and in the end the winner gets either a lot of gold or some special item that can’t be bought in stores.

    P.S: I saw someone suggest a minigame type thing for the game a while back, and I think what I have here could go with that

    Hi,
    First of all, i would like to thank you for this awesome update. This game just got even better, and i really appreciate you work.
    I haven’t encountered any bugs so far, but my game tends to stopp working from time to time, which prevents me from unlocking new stuff and enjoying the game ( I only seem to get it when i play with bots). I don’t know what causes it, but before the update it worked like a charm.

    I love the Mushroom monster, he’s such a fungi :3 I only unlocked the maid lady, so I wonder how to play with her but I kind of feel like the squid is a bit OP for it’s stage, not sure, I just feel like the charge might need a bit longer cooldown.
    But otherwise, I loved fighting Gourok, so intense, and it was like a whole new game πŸ˜€

  18. Liking all the new interactions, now all that is needed is a way NOT to give all your blood to the gold-dude, so you have some left to defile those pillars with. The caverns also no longer feel empty, which is nice, but it’s a shame the altars can only be used once, and others won’t have a change to use them.
    When comparing the staff-wielding mage and the priestess it’s pretty clear which one is stronger. I always felt the short-ranged teleport is a bit lackluster, he can barely get out of reach, even when the hero wields a dagger. The priestess(or whatever her name is) on the other hand is pretty OP. Her basic attack is nice and interesting, I fancy the bouncing beam, but it seems to hit every time because it fills so much of the screen. Maybe balance those two so the choice isn’t so obvious( or does someone fell they are balanced, if so, why?)
    The Mushroom is great, it’s ability clever and unique and it’s more clear that he becomes a… Monk?(seriously, what should you call it). maybe add those sprouts to the red Monks creep as well?
    About the boss. He feels more chaotic than Kourok, and that’s both good and bad. With friends, chaos is always more entertaining, but it’s really difficult to see the hero, the heads feel unbalanced(the fire one is just more interesting than the ice one) and the helper sometimes jumps directly into acid.
    just a general idea: an item that makes gold out of breakable objects, giving you a reason to smash it and release ectoplasm. Guess what artifact turned lead into gold?
    Also like a claw-artifact that has the monsters special ready when they spawn.

  20. I’d like to see more spells that actually do damage and also, about those shrine things, maybe you should make them a little more expensive and rare, but they also last for longer/rest of the game and are more powerful. Just a suggestion. Anyway keep up the good work guys i love this game!

  21. Woaw ! I never played the earlier versions of the game (lucky to start now : ) and as it is, i find it pretty awesome already. Played versus computer mainly.
    The ambiance is great, sound awesome, many different strategies to adopt, all of the fun and rewarding (ha ! my first try at throwing knives…).
    My only concern is the rhythm of the game : always very fast. Ghost or human, maybe some time to rest would be a good thing (at the shop ?). If ectoplasm drop non-stop, running non stop will be a logical choice… Apart from that, the game could benefit a little more in-game contextualization (some more npc, story-related obect etc.) to immerse us in his universe.
    Also i agree with Sakke above : maybe some humans could have a reason to break objects on purpose.
    Thanks a lot for this amazing game : D. I will sure wait to see it grow again.
